Club Med Insider

This year I've gotten a bad surprise and haven't even left home yet.
I have a 3 and 4 year old and booked two rooms months ago. With exactly one week to go the Scottsdale reservations group emailed me to tell me that I would have to pay an additional $1134 to have my two rooms adjacent to each other.

Anyone else experience this?

We find it peculiar they know there was an expectation for having rooms together, they did contact us... Perhaps I'm out of touch and modern families with young children normally stay in different rooms on opposite sides of the resort.

At this point no one is budging and I'll have to cancel and seek remediation by whatever means I can.

This seems to be the single most effective way to alienate repeat Customers and have them never come back.

Barbara says I was surprised to find out the same thing. They definetly did not mention that at the time that I made the original booking, but that information did present itself the second or third time I was on the ph with them. I agree, truly misleading. Oh, and then I found out that it wasn't even guaranteed that we would all be in the same building! I have young teenagers, and wouldn't even consider that. I trust my children, its the strangers that I don't trust! We have paid up to get the joining rooms (our trip isn't for a few months) but it certainly has left us with some ill feelings towards their organization. Not a good way to start....
