Is there construction currently going on at the property? We have a vacation planned for Mid- Feb. 2010 and just received a notice that there may be construction of a conference center going on. Where is this located? Which side of the property? thanks.

Pattie says I don't have an answer, but I just booked for President's Week yesterday and they didn't mention a thing. If you learn more, can you post it? Posted January 4, 2010, 12:35 pm

0Cristina says Hello, I'm Cristina I work in Ixtapa Pacific. Yes, we will build our Conference Room starting on february 1st. This building will be placed next to the archery. Check with your travel agent to confirm the ubication of your room, that way you will know if you are close or not to the construction. If you have any other question, don't doubt in ask. Have a nice day and thanks for choose Club Med, I hope you enjoy your vacations with us. Cristina Posted January 4, 2010, 4:18 pm

0Cristina says Hello! If you are staying at the Sol building you have nothing to worry about, that building is far away from the construction. We will finish the proyect by the first week of may and the amount of rooms who might get some disturb are not too many. Thanks! Posted January 5, 2010, 4:15 pm

0Elizabeth says This is very upsetting!! I also booked a LONG-anticipated family vacation for President's week and was NEVER told about the construction...I could have easily booked at another resort! We are longing for rest and relaxation. Where is the archery anyway?? I looked at the online map and could not find its location. Our room is a Club 2 bedroom. I can't find how close that will be. Also, will any of the other activities, recreational areas or restaurants closed because of this construction? I only happened to check here to get info. about that week's itinerary and was extremely disappointed to discover this. NO ONE from Club Med brought this to our attention. I had to pay the full amount once I booked!...very sneaky, Club Med. Posted January 13, 2010, 10:01 am

0Todd says I, too, booked a long anticipated vacation and was told NOTHING of this construction until after my non-refundable deposit was made. All I was told was that they could request a room away from the construction. Very sneaky indeed, and quite possible illegal. Posted January 18, 2010, 2:05 am

0Cristina says Hello again! Our activies won't close because of this construction. The archery will be moved to another location and it will remain open. The best way to check for your room is contacting our planning manager here in Ixtapa, she can answer all questions and help you. Her name is Leilani and this is her email address: ixtcplan01@clubmed.com If you have any other question, don't doubt in ask. Thanks Cris Posted January 19, 2010, 11:20 am

0Todd says What are the hours construction will be taking place? What sort of noise disturbance will there be during these house? I might move to another date or resort, if this will be disruptive in any way. Thanks. Posted January 26, 2010, 10:24 am

0Nate says I don't see how this construction is going to be disruptive at all as long as it occurs only during the daytime. It is where they had mini golf and archery. The archery is now located behind the sailing shack and it works well there. Posted February 24, 2010, 1:41 am
