I am planning a visit to Ixtapa with my husband and 2 kids (5 & 2) in late February and confused about what type of room I should book. I like an ocean view and would like some privacy from kids. The reservations person suggested an Ocean View Family Suite which is pretty expensive. 1) Can I save $ and get two adjoining rooms with a ocean view? 2) Can I guarantee a building away from the new conference center construction? I don't want to hear any construction!
Thanks-

Cristina says Hello, I am Cristina, G.O in Ixtapa Pacific. We have a few rooms in the Pajaro building, far away from the construction, that have Ocean view and Kids have their own room but share bathroom with the parents room. This room is the Family Deluxe Ocean View. This type of room has the ocean view but does not has a balcony and the bathroom does not has a bathtub. I think it maybe a good option. We only have 9 rooms like this in this building, so is important to reserve early. Let me know if you still have some doubts. Thanks for choosing Club Med. Have a nice day! 0Owen Rubin says An ocean view is nice, but just how much time to you expect to be in your room? There is so much to do here at the village, there is very little reason to be in your room for anything other than sleeping, showering, and changing. Not much to see at night! The rest of the time, you will most likely be on the beach, by the pool, in a restaurant, at a bar, on an excursion, etc. We are at Ixtapa this week, and we do not have an ocean view. While it might be nice to see the ocean when we wake up, I get out of the room quickly, and then I see amazing views! We are also in Parjaro building, at the far end. It is VERY quiet, and only a short walk to the main areas. Personally, I would suggest not spending the extra money on an ocean view room. You are not there enough to make it worthwhile. Just one person's opinion. Posted January 13, 2010, 3:55 pm

0Jaden Hair says We are currently staying in Pajaro - and have adjoining rooms. There's no balcony, but honestly we spend most of our day outside the room at the beach or at the pool so it doesn't really matter! Posted January 14, 2010, 5:21 pm

0Jeff says we went last year, and had two adjoining rooms, which was great. the people we met with family suites wanted our set up, because we had two bathrooms and privacy from the kids. the view from the rooms is not a big issue. Posted February 6, 2010, 9:38 pm
