Club Med Insider

I am considering leaving my concrete jungle of Manhattan island to take a job as a GO at this resort. Am I crazy? My friends seem to think I am. I do not speak french and have been warned it may not be easy if I do not speak french? If this is my only concern, is this reason enough not to go? Any feedback from former GO's or if you have had an experience with GO's there can you let me know and help me in my decision.... Paradise awaits??

Club Med Insider says Trust your intuition , take a risk and keep an open mind. Columbus Isle is beautiful. Many G.O.s don't speak French when they begin working at Club Med and they end up learning the language within a year or two. Posted March 23, 2010, 3:53 pm

Robin G says The vast majority of guests who come in the winter are French speaking. Many of the French folks don't speak English, but nearly all the French Canadians speak both languages. It is a lovely place to spend the winter, so I'd say go for it! Posted December 28, 2011, 12:02 am
