Club Med Insider

We are travelling from Australia to Club Med Cancun in early May.
Because we are outside our "area", Club Med will not organise transfers for us from Cancun airport to their resort.
Can any one help with suggestions on a safe, reliable way for 5 adults to get from the airport to Club Med?

Nathan says We are arriving in early May and plan on taking a cab. I haven't been for awhile but it used to be any easy process. Posted April 12, 2010, 2:53 pm

heidi says I have heard many times, to not take a cab from the airport, because they can scam you bad, because they are not regulated. There were 5 of us last year, and we went with www.cancunvalet.com. I had heard great things on tripadvisor about them, and they did not disappoint! It was 65 US dollars r/t, and worth every penny. You have to book on their website, you can pay them in cash when you arrive, or you can pay by credit card beforehand. It was a nice big SUV with cool air conditioning, and water bottles. It picked us up on time when we arrived, and picked us up from CM on our day of departure, he was even a little early. I would highly recommend! Posted April 12, 2010, 3:09 pm

France says We used www.usa-transfers.com out of Cancun airport to go to south of Playa Del Carmen. No surprised, on time and relaible, you know what you pay ahead and they are well identified at the aiport. Check them out. They will quote you, and inform you about payment terms. They can take you anywhere out tof Cancun airport. We paid extra to have the mini-van to ourselves (husband and I). Worth the extra money, since no other stop and you do not wait for other pax.

Would take them again.

Only little complain, from our resort the mini-van was a little old.

Hopes this help. Let me know about your trip, I'm thinking of going next year with 9 and 14 year old.

Craig says Only trustworthy and regulated cab companies are now permitted to do business inside the terminal. There is one company that does have a contract with Club Med to transport those travellers without Club Med land transfers as part of the packgage. In fact, I think it is the same company that transports for Club Med. Once inside the terminal look for a .sign that says Club Med transport or something to that effect. We have used this company twice with no problems. Posted April 16, 2010, 4:31 pm
