I am traveling to Punta Cana for the first time in March 2010. My doctor, (and the US CDC), are advising that I should take preventative meds for malaria, typhoid and Hep A before traveling to the DR. Yet I have spoken with many people who have traveled to Punta Cana and none of them have ever taken preventative meds for these diseases. Are these precautions really necessary? Read More ›
