We are going to Club Med Punta Cana for a 13-day stay arriving in late June as part of a three-week vacation. We are trying to assess how much clothing to bring. It will be our third time at the resort but the first since 2005. At that time, the resort offered a laundry service whereby you could get a large bag of clothes washed at a very reasonable price (unlike most hotels and resorts which are charging ludicrous prices on a per item basis). My family has been to Punta Cana numerous times and no one has had even a mild stomach upset. There seems to be alot of internet chat about stomach flu at Punta Cana being very common the past few months. I usual ignnore this as I've never been sick at any Club Med in 24 years but we're going back to Punta Cana the end of May and admit to being somewhat concerned. Anyone have the real scoop?
