Martin asked:
Is this a good place to go in late June with my wife and 17 year old graduate high school senior daughter?

Will it be too hot to enjoy the beach at this time?

I went to many Club Med's as a single in the 1970s and 1980s. Is the continental feeling still there?

How is the food and the programming at this club?

Thanks,

Hi, I am a single parent with a 18 month old toddler. I am looking for a relaxing getaway preferably with beautiful beaches. Whilst I want to spend time with my son, as a single mum I also want to be able to take a swin or have a massage and know that my son is having fun and being well taken care of. As I am based in Australia I am considering the Bali, Bintan Island, Phuket and Lindeman Island options. Can anyone reccomend one of these over the other? I have never stayed at a Club Med resort before so am unsure of how it operates in regards to toddlers and single parents. Look forward to any responses, suggestions and feedback. Thank you. We are a family of 4 arriving april 16. A few questions/concerns:

1. Is there a dedicated GO to keep things going for 11 yr old and 14 yr old. Not one but two for the two groups?

2. Are there activities around golf - do you match up or poll how many kids have an interest and can play? Same with Tennis?

3. We are in a renovated suite for 4. Are they ready?

4. I hear its a bit of an issue to get to the ocean beach? This is expensive, please be ready for all of us.

James Mason asked:
Can anyone recommend a club med resort that is reasonably quiet, pretty and spacious, has lots of activities- sailing, scuba diving, tennis, preferably has less young children,is next to the beach and is in Europe which would suit a 15 and 18 year old. I have looked around but none have captured my eye. Can anyone help me in the right direction even if it doesn't tick all the boxes?

I spent my holidays at Club Med Punta Cana from 01/02/2010 until 12/02/2010. The day before our departure I met someones eyes at the pool and I was struck by lightning...never experienced such a thing...love at first sight... The day after I saw him on the beach (southern type light eyes and black/white/green bollboang swimshirt, in a group of 6 to 8 persons) and in the evening at the restaurant. The only thing we did was staring and smiling at each other .... unfortunately. I really regret we did not seize the opportunity to talk, and I wonder, who is this man, riding its bicycle in my head ever since...does someone know? Read More ›

I understand there is to be construction in March. Which rooms should we stay in with 3 children to be as far away as possible from it?
And will you be able to hear the noise during the day from the pool and beach?

Hi, My husband and I (we are from Toronto) and our 5 year old daughter went to Club Med Cancun March Break of 2008. We loved it as my daughter had so much fun in the kids club. The only downside we felt was the "wind" on the beach...the water had incredibly high waves which made it difficult to enjoy the beach and ocean. We have an opportunity to go to Ixtapa in March of 2010. We were looking at Ixtapa on line and we feel the resort looks a "little nicer".... rooms, lobby, restaurant, look more recently renovated etc. I was wondering if anyone has been to both Cancun and Ixtapa and how they would compare? I'm assuming the kids club is just as active in Ixtapa? but how is the overall resort? nicer, activities, food? Any thoughts will help us make a decision! Thanks so much! Read More ›
