Hi, I am a single parent with a 18 month old toddler. I am looking for a relaxing getaway preferably with beautiful beaches. Whilst I want to spend time with my son, as a single mum I also want to be able to take a swin or have a massage and know that my son is having fun and being well taken care of. As I am based in Australia I am considering the Bali, Bintan Island, Phuket and Lindeman Island options. Can anyone reccomend one of these over the other? Can anyone recommend a club med resort that is reasonably quiet, pretty and spacious, has lots of activities- sailing, scuba diving, tennis, preferably has less young children,is next to the beach and is in Europe which would suit a 15 and 18 year old. I have looked around but none have captured my eye. Can anyone help me in the right direction even if it doesn't tick all the boxes?

I have been to 2 Club Med resorts in the past year. In both resorts, the shop sold these little purses that the women and GO's wore on their arms/wrists.
I neglected to buy one at the resort but cannot seem to find them anywhere.
Can anyone tell me where I can buy one outside of Club Med? If not, can I buy one from a CM website?
Please don't tell me I have to wait until my next Club Med holiday to purchase one.
Has anyone been to Club Med resort in Agadir who can help with questions on language? I've read mixed reviews about the resort with regard to english speaking staff. I have a little French and can get by but my kids don't speak French and may be a little reluctant to join in activities if there is a language barrier with staff. Am I the only one to be surprised that there is not a Club Med Resort in Hawai? I think it would be a lovely addition to a tropical destination. The travel cost could be more reasonable than some of the other destinations making it more affordable for families. Read More ›
