My kids fell in love with the music at IXTAPA. The crazy signs, and the music played in the Estrella bar when they danced. My assignment is to track down the songs so I can make them a mix. I located the obvious ones like Jessie, Africa, Absolutely Everybody - but I need help finding links or names (and artists) to a bunch of others. I don't know the names of most, but some that come to mind are bate que bate le chocolate and mouse mouse mickey mouse and the beat that they play for three minutes at the beginning of crazy signs and any of about 10 or 20 songs which they played every night in the bar, and here's really lousy clue to anyone who hasnt been to ixtapa: that spanish song that they seemed to play every day at the pool and when we arrived where the only words I know are oy oy oy oy oy oy. We'll be in Ixtapa in January. Our family will be staying in the suites and I understand there is a private car service that will drive us from the airport. So I wanted to know if child car seats are provided by the resort for the 1/2 hour drive. Read More ›

What is CM like during a Holiday week at full capacity ?

We are going to Ixtapa Thanksgiving week and guessing it will be full.
Will we lack good service or are there more GM's there during holiday weeks ? Do the small children's (under 5) clubs get too full ?

Hi. I'm traveling at the end of July to Ixtapa with 3 kids (2,9,11). First, I wanted to find out if I could get the activities schedules ahead of time? Second, I'm wondering is it safe to leave the resort and go to barrio del Refugio or other local sites? I just read about an incident on the Acapulco-Zih highway that happened this weekend. That started making me nervous! Also, what do the schedules look like for adult activities?

deciding to go to Ixtapa club med end of July for 7 days, with my husband and my 2 year old son.
need to find out the followings:
I can not find a picture of all the pools (adult, kids) in that resort. Can anyone send me a link if it's possible?
I need a map of the resort to figure out where buildings, bars, pools, beach, etc. is located.
Activities at the petit club for my 2 year old includes what?

I am going to ixtapa in two weeks and I have been told the resort is sold out. Is it possible to make dinner reservations at the a la carte restaurants prior to arrival. Is it possible to reserve tennis lessons or any of the other activities in advance? Thanks Read More ›

Hi! I will going to Ixtapa in May and this will be my first club med with a little one (our 6 months old). My question is for any advice on preparing food for her. She will be mostly drinking formula and I'm nervous about mixing powder with the water there. Is that a concern? Has anyone had experience with that (good or bad?) I just want to avoid any stomach issues! :)
I would bring the pre-made formula, but they are cumbersome for the luggage. Am I able to ship them to the resort? I know customs was mentioned in an early question, has anyone does this before?

Hello Kristi.
We are really excited to go to Ixtapa Pacific as it will be the first time for us in a Club Med. We will be there on week of March 11-18 with 2 kids (5-9years old).
Is it possible to get the kids club schedule for that period? It would be great to be able to prepare our vacation for the types of activities to expect.
Can we get the color dress code also? We know that these colors are not mandatory, but what is the % of people that are dressed like that?
Our daughter really want to have her hair braid. Is it possible to get it on the Club? Do we need to reserve for it?
