We will bring our two daughters (2.5 and a 4 year old) to Sandpiper in March. Could they both spend some hours in the early afternoon in the same club, either the Petit Club (2-3 years) or the Mini Club (4-7 years)? Thanks Birgitte Read More ›
Going to the Sandpiper for Christmas week 2011 with our teenage daughters. Two questions:
1) Are all the renovations complete? 2) How is it possible that the rooms do not have internet access and why would an all-inclusive resort charge for internet access when the most basic, cheapest motels in the U.S. don't charge for it?
Another question: We recently discovered that our son is lactose intolerant. He is doing well on Rice Milk - any chance I could get Rice Milk at Sandpiper, or do I have to plan a trip to Publix? What other options does the kitchen offer lactose intolerant guests? I don't want to give him soy because that's an allergen too. Thanks in advance - again! Read More ›
We stayed at Sandpiper in January 2011 with our then 5.5 month old son, and had a great trip! We are returning in February 2012 and our son will be 18 months old. We are looking at booking a Deluxe Family Room (with the separate kids bedroom & and I have some questions about the room: (1)I know there are 2 beds, but we really do prefer a crib for him. He had a playpen to sleep in, courtesy of CM, this past January, but can we get a crib instead? I think he would be too big for a playpen next year. (2) is it possible to fit a crib in with the two beds, or can a bed be removed? (3) alternately, does Club Med have bed rails for the sides of the bed if there is no actual crib? (4) We were told that in the regular family room there is just a curtain separating the two sleeping areas; can anyone comment on this? Read More ›
Hello - My husband and Iare traveling with our 20 month old to Sandpiper and were wondering if there is a microwave, bottlewarmer and fridge provided in the room? It's pretty clear that a crib, highchair etc.. are included but I wasn't too clear on this. Thanks so much.
My husband & kids -girl 15,son- 13, will be at the Sandpiper at end of Aug. for 7 days. Just read that the gym won't be ready. What's the status for the rest of the resort? My son will be joining his high school tennis team & he wants to play & take lessons. Altho we will be staying in 2 prerenovated rms., hope theyre ok & located in a good place with a view.Should I be worried? Will my daughter find friends, will be son be able to play as much tennis as he would like? I am a little nervous. We will be driving from Orlando after spending 3 days at Sea World & Discovery Cove.Plan to rent a car to take us back to West Palm Beach airport. How often & how much does it cost for a family of 4 to be taken to the airport? Flight to N.J. doesn't leave until almost 5pm & don't want to be at airport for hours. We are getting excited. Thanks Read More ›
We are booked to go to Sandpiper on december 2011 and am concerned about recent reviews. The renovated rooms are said to have shabby furniture and fridges, mould, rusty bathroom fittings etc. apparently renovated rooms are cleaner. Will the new deluxe rooms be ready by december 2011?\ \ Will the new fitness centre be fully open by then. It was supposed to open in spring 2011 and i read somewhere here that it will be now ready in early 2012. I really hope that is not the case as it is our main reason for choosing sandpiper.\ Will the swimming pools be heated , apparently only the lap pool is heated?\ \ Finally, is someone monitoring all these negative comments from tripadvisor and taking measures to improve things. \ PLEASE, it would be most appreciated if you could answer all of these questions. \ Read More ›
We are leaving for Sandpiper on April 10. My son Pablo is 3 1/2 years old. I want to put him in the child club for his age group.
I was told that the club for children is closed on Wednesday. Since we are staying only 5 full days, Pablo would be able to go only 4 days to the child club.
Paying over $400 upfront for the 4 days is expensive. Can I just pay for each day once I am at the resort? What would be the daily charge?
