We are planning a Club Med vacation for the first time ever. We are interested in going in January 1, 2012 for 10 nights. When I priced this vacation for 2 adults and 1 (11 year old child), its coming up around $9500. I'm so frustrated. I just called to book my Club Med vacation in the Yucatan resort and at the last minute they tacked on another $400 to make my children's room adjoining. We are booking as a family and my children are both 3-years-old! They actually told me on the phone that if I didn't pay this fee they would put us in separate buildings. I spoke with a manager and explained that there is no question I need to be next to my toddlers, which he agreed, but then said there was nothing they could do if I didn't pony up the extra fee.
