I see that tennis racquets are provided for lessons here but want to know if they are available for free play/games for two people not during lessons.
Can they be checked out and available?
Do we need to bring our own tennis balls or are they provided?

For the last 5 years we have been in Columbus Isle which has fantastic tennis courts. After they closed the two greatest tennis centers - Sonora Bay, Mexico and Paradise Island, Bahamas there really isn't a more serious tennis center (except for Sanpiper) in the Caribean.
Rumors were that Columbus Isle was so ideal with its great facilites, excellent court surfaces, not too humid/hot weather would become the successor to Sonoral Bay or Paradise Island. What happened?? It would have been perfect. Will they ever do something about it, ie superior quality of pros, intesive classes etc. -- the climate there is so perfect for that sport.

Jong asked:
I have a couple of questions regarding our upcoming trip at the end of August. First, I'm concerned about the heat during our vacation. It will likely be in the high 90's. I'm concerned that my kids will not want to participate in any of the outdoor activities. Will there be enough indoor activities with AC if this occurs? Have other family encountered this problem and how did you deal with this? Second, I've gotten conflicting information regarding availability of tennis equipment, e.g. rackets. Are decent quality tennis rackets for both adults and kids readily available during lessons and free play or should I bring my own. (I'd rather not have to lug them with me.) Read More ›
