My husband and I just got back from Turkoise. We had an absolutely wonderful time! There were some photos taken by the staff photographer that I wanted to buy, but didn't get a chance. Is there anyway to order the photos online or do they erase them?
I have read the rooms at Turkoise are in need of a renovation. I am going to Turkoise in a few weeks for my honeymoon. Is there a newer, updated building that I can request? Is there anyway to request another room if we dont like the one we are in? I would like to have a nice clean room becuase we will be there for 8 days. On TripAdvisor.com there was a recent review indicating a bed bug infestation at Turkoise (the review is dated July 3, 2011). I'm wondering if this is an accurate review as the reviewer was the only one to report bug bites and there were several other reviews posted from the time this particular reviewer stayed. We are looking to go to Turkoise in October or November, but will not consider if there are in fact bed bugs.
My husband's watch went missing from our room during our stay last week. We notified a GO, as the rules state, but it has not been recovered, and we have yet to find out how to file a claim. It was a GPS running watch that had to be charged, so he could not place it in the safe provided. Does anyone know the process for filing a claim? My husband and I have been to Columbus Isle a number of times and are big fans. Unfortunately, CI isn't available in September, which is when we want to take our next trip. Can anyone provide a comparison of Turkoise and CI? I know the beach is fantastic, so I'm more interested in things like cleanliness, food, friendliness of staff/guests. We'd be very grateful for your help. We're ready to book but worried that we'll be disappointed. (Martinique was a disappointment because the food really wasn't very good and almost nobody, seriously, spoke any English at all.
