I've read mixed reviews on La Caravelle.....2007 seems to have been a good year with great staff, however, 2008, not so much. Has anyone been lately (2009) and what was your experience.

My family is thinking of going in March, 2010 for spring break and although, my husband has been many times years ago and speaks French fluently, I'm concerned about some of the reviews.

We are going to Ixtapa Pacific in December, and I can't seem to find a definitive answer about their suites. We have a reservation for an Ocean View Family Suite 5 Trident Space for 4 People. This is a considerably more pricey option, and I want to make sure there is a separate bedroom for the kids. It seems like there must be, but there is no layout or picture on the website. Has anyone stayed in this type of room? Thanks!

Stayed in the Ocean View Family Suite with a 17 and 10 yr old and never knew they were in the room. The concierge service that goes along with this room is fabulous. We have been to many clubs over the years and this is by far, so far the best suite and well worth the price.

I am trying to plan our summer vacation for 2010. We loved Sandpiper when we went this summer. Which resort would be best for a family of 7, kids ages: 16, 14, 12, 7, and 6. I can't decide between Punta Cana or Cancun.

Ixtapa was fabulous for my 17 & 10 girl and boy. My husband and I also enjoyed it tremendously. Not one complaint. Both kids took part in their respective clubs, as well as, shows at night. Just a great, great time.
