We have two girls (12 and 8) that we will be bringing on our family vacation in May. How safe is it for a 12 year old to travel around the club on her own? She's very independent, but still only 12.

We're traveling in May, 2010...what color clothes should we pack for those fun nights when everyone wears certain colors? I want to make sure my girls are set to participate...it was great fun last time we went.

How do you pack sunscreen, bug spray, or any liquids when just taking carry on luggage? Does this automatically mean I need to check luggage to bring these products to the club with me?

We have never been to a Club Med... but, our family is considering booking a trip to Club Med Ixtapa the first week of September. I have read many fantastic reviews of this resort from families, most of whom have young children. We have 3 teenagers. Ages 13, 15 and 17, (boy, girl, boy) and want to find a place to vacation where our teens will have a blast.
Can anyone comment on what this Club Med is like for teens? Our kids are active and outgoing and would love to meet other teens. My older ones would also love some kind of teen disco or dance club. Is there anything like that? Is there a good variety of age-appropriate activities for teens, or is it mostly geared toward younger children? And also... what is the best type of room to get for a family of 5? I don't know the difference between the "Club 2-bedroom", and the "family" room.\

Hmm...September in Mexico? I was in Cancun when Hurricane Gilbert hit back in '94.....I was told that September is not a good time to go there due to hurricanes. Might want to ask Club Med experts about this.
