Hi there: We returned from Ixtapa the end of July. Our group of 12 people ranged in age from 4 to 70. We had teenagers, 12 and 14, but no 20 somethings. We had no reason to leave the village. The shows were lots of fun and after the shows they have dancing outside or in the bar. The bar is kid friendly and when the kids go to sleep (usually after the show), the 20 somethings can hang in the bar. Personally I would not take a cab to town at night, but that is just me.

THANK YOU so much for your response!! We had the best time ever in Ixtapa Pacific. In fact I posted my "story" elsewhere on this site.
We will definitely be taste testing the Sangrita and Tequila!
Thank you for your help.

The thing about travelling to a Club Med Village, IMHO, is that you don't have to leave the village. You get the food, the ambiance, the chotchkes, all at one place. I think there is a better chance of catching anything if you go on vacation and do lots of sightseeing, and mingling with the general population. I went to Ixtapa this past July with 5 kids (ages 4 - 14). Outside of each dining area is a dispenser for hand sanitizer. I think you'll be fine, and I certainly envy your trip. We had the most fantastic time ever!

Thank you. Do you know, is this something that is paid in cash or can it be charged to the room?
