Club Med Ixtapa's beauty, right outside in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo

When my friend Jaden, from SteamyKitchen.com, invited me to join her at Club Med Ixtapa's beautiful locale, I was thrilled to be spending a week with my fun foodie pal. It was just two gals leaving the guys at home and letting it loose in the beautiful sandy beaches of Mexico.

During our stay there, we indulged to the MAX with amazing food and cocktails, which were all part of the wonderful Food and Wine Festival week.

But on two of those days, we decided to head to the local town of Zihuatanejo to explore the local food, flavors and flair. It was a wonderful extention to our stay at Club Med Ixtapa to be able to experience, first hand, the local specialties and sights that inspire Club Med Ixtapa.

Both Jaden and I roamed the markets and food stalls, like hungry explorers, searching for local dishes. We found much more than we expected. With a taco eating fest, refreshing aqua frescas, local fruit , amazing fresh seafood and warm vendors, it was all an amazing and delicious adventure!

To be able to immerse ourselves in the beautiful scenery and service at Club Med Ixtapa and explore the vibrant culture right outside in Zihuatanejo made the trip....perfect.
