Old world architecture, New world charm

by Diane Cu on April 19, 2009, updated February 4, 2012

I love architecture, especially those that resonate with history, detail and hand craftsmanship. Such is the joy that I experienced at Club Med Columbus Isles from being surrounded with old world detail in a new world, all inclusive resort charm.

So much of the furniture, wall furnishings, fixtures, artwork and trimmings were beautiful collections from around the world. From tables, to chairs, to wall art, every single detail told a story from the past. Each hand crafted vase and piece of art reflected a special time, place and person from history.

I thought that I would have to spend alot of time searching out for beautiful artwork and architecture, but that wasn't the case at all. Each nook, corner, room and open space was filled with the old world beauty that I was craving.

I hope you enjoy the photographs that I collected from the resort.
