Our favorite GO was...

My daughter, Maddie, heard about this contest and wanted me to take the time to write a note about one of many awesome GOs at Club Med. Honestly I was not going to write anything, because it was too hard to pick my favorite, there were so many....but we decided that our favorite, and especially my daughter's was Vanessa in the Carwash. She was born to be a teen GO! As we all know, kids this age can be well...difficult, but man she had it down! She spoke mainly French, which worked out great the week we were there because most of the kids in the Carwash were French, my daughter and one other being the exception. Maddie (my 13 year old) is learning to speak French in school, so the fact that most of the week ended up being in French was great for her. Vanessa made such an effort to make sure she was included in all of the activities, because she had a harder time communicating, and went out of her way to make her feel good about speaking French, and talking with the other kids.
She was very friendly with my husband and I as well, and let me know the day that Maddie was going to attempt to water ski for only the second time (the first was the day before, and she could not get up out of the water) she told me to come and see her, and I told her because she hadn't been successful the day before, she had told me that she was not going to do it again. Vanessa told me that she would talk to her, and to please come because she would be on skis, well I am happy to say that she did try again, and of course did it perfectly. I was so happy that I had come to see her do it, and that I was able to take some photos. If Vanessa wouldn't have let me know I would have missed the whole thing. She was also really encouraging with the trapeze, if you have never seen it it is very high up and very intimidating.
On the day that we decided to go to Tulum for a day trip, Maddie was pouting the entire time because all she wanted to do was to go back and join Vanessa and her new friends! Maddie told me that this was the best vacation she has ever been on and that includes Disney 4 times! The main reason was because of the Carwash and Vanessa, she was the best!
