Club Med Food Blogger Camp: An unexpected value and life changing event

Beach at Ixtapa

For someone that struggles paycheck to paycheck, it took winning a scholarship to Club Med Ixtapa's Food Blogging Camp for me to understand the incredible value of such a place. The tropical location paired with the luxurious atmosphere of the all-inclusive resort convinced me—within minutes—of Club Med's value.

In just one trip, I have been transformed into a Club Med guest and Food Blog Camper, for life. Where else could I attend classes, network with world famous bloggers, eat fresh produce and fish snatched from the local sea, bask in the sunshine, swim in the warm waters, and lounge in my breezy cabana for one extremely low price?

Club Med's Food Blogger Camp offered a luxurious setting to learn valuable tools and network with an impressive collection of professional and amateur food bloggers. In our intimate groups, we learned from each other, experienced new ways of thinking, and got hands-on advice on how to use technology to improve our blogs.

Beyond great presentations like food photography, plating, the business of food blogging, and food writing—I thoroughly enjoyed the time between classes to get to know this wonderful community of food bloggers. Where else could I have had the chance to share a margarita with my food writing hero and then moments later dodge ocean waves with world renown cookbook author? Within days, our small group of bloggers and food writers bonded over our obsession with food, our love for photography, and story telling.

I plan on attending next year's food blogging camp, regardless of winning a scholarship. The trip is worth every penny.
