Club Med Theme Weeks

by Kirsti Frost on March 12, 2009

What is better than a Club Med Vacation? A Club Med theme week vacation to be sure. Imagine being in the ideal location and enjoying one of your passions with your peers.
Club Med began looking at guest trends and their requests for activities last year and from this research, five exciting theme weeks have emerged. From volleyball to cooking, Club Med has develope a niche for our die hard fans. I am exited to work on these weeks— meeting pros and stars from different industries.

My first week will be in Turkoise for Turkoise Rocks. When I'm not scrambling to organize last minute details, I will be enjoying the beach listening to Big Head Todd and the Monsters from Colorado, drinking cocktails whilst appreciating the music of This Side Up from Montreal and then dancing the night away to the beat of DJ Craig Cruise.

A couple of weeks later, I and about 200 others will learn how to ballroom dance in Sandpiper during the Dancing with our Champions week. Cha cha cha, rumba and the waltz will have no secrets for me after taking lessons from world champions! And for those of you who are single (or with a partner that doesn't dance) you don’t need to go with a partner, one will be provided.

In fall, we'll be heading for a two week stay in Punta Cana. The first week, the food and wine festival will unveil the secrets of the celebrity chefs. Rumors have it that Matthew Zubrod from Aspen and Tim Grandinetti from Winston Salem will be there with many more celebrity chefs and master sommeliers. A week on the beach and getting the tips from these famous chefs, and drinking amazing wine is my idea of paradise. But then what do I do with all those extra pounds that I will have put on during the week?

Bingo, I stay another week and meet Beto, the founder of Zumba Fitness to launch the Zumba Week at Club Med. This amazing fitness program includes daily classes and Zumba dancing marathons at night to burn away any unwanted calories.

Just two weeks later, I, and other fitness minded guests, will have a great opportunity to get back in shape during GOBeachfest. Having seen the pictures from last year’s event, I would not miss this for the world. Check out Albert Hanneman’s article about this event. An amazing beach volley ball pro himself, he is bringing in top players of several sports professionals in the areas of beach volley ball, yoga, martial arts and tennis.

Well, what more to say, I am hyped! If you want more information see it all here

I’ll see you there!
